Boost Your Social Marketing Experience with Google+
by Alyssa Ast
Recently, Google unleashed their newest tool, a social networking site called Google+. Google+ is very similar to Facebook, but comes packed with other new features as well, which Facebook currently lacks. This new social networking site is believed to become the newest social networking empire, which means it's a must have for your social marketing.
Google+ allows you to share links, videos and photos, just as Facebook allows, but it also allows you choose who views what. It's different than Facebook because you can easily categorize the people who follow you and those you follow. This allows you to choose who views what links and videos, making it easier for you to target a certain audience, instead of just everyone, who may not have a particular interest in certain links you're posting. As a result, you're likely to increase your followers because others won't be bombarded by unnecessary links, which often cause an annoyance that can lead to the loss of that follower.
Because the social networking site just recently launched, there aren't too many people using it right now. This still gives Facebook the upper hand when it comes to reaching a large audience. But overtime, Google+ is expected to reach the same large audience because it has so many more functions that Facebook doesn't offer.
In my opinion, if you haven't done so already, get set up with Google+ and begin developing your social following on that site. In a few months, it's sure to pay off as more and more people join the site. When you do get on Google+, look me up so we can connect!
